Now Eastern Arizona College will be part of an effort to create more of them. According to Eastern Arizona Courier, the college will offer a new course designed to teach students how to develop their own apps.
Introduction to iOS Development, section No. 0797, is a three-credit class.
“We will use XCode and the Swift programming language to create iOS applications suitable for iPhone and iPads,” says class instructor Lydia Mata. “The course will begin with introductory topics such as requirements for publishing applications to the Apple App Store, getting to know the XCode environment and beginning programming skills. The course will take students from beginning concepts through creating full iOS applications and learning how to publish those applications to the Apple App Store.”
According to the college, enrolled students need not own their own MacBook, iPhone, or iPad — EAC has MacBooks and iPads for students to use, if needed. Regular tuition and fees apply for this course. Arizona residents who are 55 and over qualify for a tuition waiver.
