Apple has finally addressed one of the biggest complaints among iOS app developers of late.
MAW began hearing from readers this week (most of our tipsters were, in fact, app developers) who tell us that Apple is no longer letting iOS 9 beta users publish app reviews.
This development is critically important to publishers who have had horrendous experiences getting pelted with negative reviews for pre-release iOS versions of their applications — versions that obviously are not polished and ready to be honestly and accurately evaluated.
All told, Apple has been listening to developers gripe about this problem since the public beta program launched several months ago.
What we’ve learned, although Apple hasn’t officially commented on the matter, is that testers now running the fourth iOS 9 beta have seen the ability to post reviews disabled, giving developers the peace of mind to continue focusing on perfecting their apps for public release without the fear of drawing permanent negative reviews that don’t reflect the user experience associated with the finished product.
