Opera, parent company of Opera Mediaworks, is doing a bit of crowing — and for good reason.
The company’s report on financial results for Q3 2015 shows that Opera Mediaworks has expected growth contributing 64 percent of Opera’s total revenues of $149.4 million.
Opera Mediaworks is the world’s largest independent mobile ad platform.
Opera Mediaworks reported revenue of $96.2 million a rise of 11 percent year over year (YOY) and its platform grew 47 percent YOY. The platform now reaches 1.12 billion users, compared to 770 million at the same time last year.
“Through the quarter, Opera Mediaworks’ revenues reflected a continued shift toward video advertising, with 57 percent of overall revenues now coming from video compared to 46 percent at the same time last year,” noted a company blog post. “This trend is expected to continue into Q4 and beyond as video advertising contributes to better operating margins and automation.”
In addition, Opera Mediaworks added key brands to its client roster in Q3, including Stoli, United, Ralph Lauren, and others.
