Three Ways to Incorporate Mobile and Social Analytics in Your Advertising CampaignsOpenX has launched Ad Footprint, a new free tool designed to help publishers optimize their desktop and mobile pages using detailed insights on the speed and performance of each page.

The Chrome extension was created by OpenX Labs.

After Ad Footprint conducts a full scan of a page, according to a company statement provided to MAW, it returns an in-depth analysis on performance providing:

  • Comprehensive page analysis – This evaluates the page load process and view clear visualizations of what each ad tech partner is doing at what time and how long it’s taking.
  • Speed comparison – A ranking of performance of a page against hundreds of other websites.
  • Actionable advice – Customized recommendations for optimizing user experience and balancing monetization are included.

“Ad tech is complex and dynamic, getting it right requires not only world class software but also a deep investment in research and development to solve for the recurring problems publishers face in our industry,” said Caleb Sotelo, a staff engineer and director of OpenX Labs. “Publishers deserve tools that are self-serve, adaptable, and transparent, and OpenX is building them.”

Ad Footprint provides results via a user-friendly interface easily utilized by both business and technology/development teams.

OpenX’s Ad Footprint is now available as a free download in the Chrome Web Store here.
